So here are a few things that you should know about me! I have lived in Utah my whole life! I don’t plan to continue this trend forever. I would love to move to experience life somewhere else. I am not complaining, I love Utah, I love the mountains, I love the snow! I have been married just a little over a year to a wonderful guy named Zac. Some of my hobbies include playing soccer, hanging out with my friends and family, and watching great movies! Since marrying an avid skier I have decided to take the route of snowboarding which I thought would be easier. It isn’t, but I am getting the hang of it. I love hanging out with my husband and my three adorable nieces and cute nephew.

I hope to graduate soon and am very excited to hopefully someday be a teacher. I haven’t always wanted to be one. I decided a few years ago that of all the other career options I was considering, this one would hopefully be the most rewarding. I guess we will see. I plan on teaching history or even geography. I love the outdoors and enjoy learning about different places and people. I have enjoyed the different volunteer work that I have done in schools and especially love seeing and knowing that a student is learning something new. I recently spent some time in a bilingual Spanish class. I was so excited to see the students realizing that they had the potential to actually be someone someday. It was very rewarding to get to know them and to help them succeed.

I would like to use technology in my classrooms to bring learning to life. How much more exciting is it to see and hear something than to just read about it? It's amazing to me how much information and resources are available to educators on the internet. It is such a great tool that can be used in so many ways to supplement instruction within the classroom. I hope that when I become a teacher that I will have access to the technology that will help me do this.
